A riot broke out on the opening day sale of a clothing store in Gulistan-e-Johar on Friday due to an overwhelming rush of customers, prompting police to shut down the store. A large crowd had gathered at the store, located within the Sharea Faisal police station limits, following an advance announcement of a sale. As soon as the store opened, a massive influx of customers led to a scuffle. Taking advantage of the situation, some miscreants entered the store with sticks, started looting, and even broke the main gate. SSP East said the store did not inform the police about the opening ceremony.
