Bilawal urges political parties to engage in dialogue

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), on Sunday emphasised the necessity of dialogue among political parties, Express News reported. "If the political parties wouldn't talk to each other, the problems would not be resolved," stated Bilawal while addressing a seminar in Lahore. Discussing the significance of the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto reference, the PPP chairman highlighted the imperative for judicial reforms and a transparent judges' appointment process. He said that judicial reforms were included in the Charter of Democracy, adding that his party would complete the process. Addressing the prevailing economic crises in the country, he stressed the importance of mutual dialogue among political parties for seeking viable solutions. Bilawal also referenced a message of reconciliation sent by President Asif Ali Zardari to a politician who, according to him, "does not think beyond himself." He criticised the transformation of this message into verbal abuse, labelling it as "the politics of hatred." A resolution was presented at the seminar, advocating for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to be declared a national hero and recommending his image be printed on currency notes. The event witnessed the presence of numerous party workers, senior journalists and politicians.
