The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in Karachi on Saturday, Express News reported on Thursday. The PMD's Early Warning Centre has issued a forecast indicating the arrival of consecutive western disturbances or westerly waves into the country from the west. The first wave is expected on April 10, followed by a second on April 12, persisting until April 15. Under the influence of the second western disturbance, Karachi is likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning on the 13th and 14th of April. Additionally, gusty winds and duststorms may sweep through the port city during this period. Read more: Moderate to heavy rain lashes different parts of Karachi The PMD also forecasted the possibility of heavy winds and rain in other areas of Sindh including Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Sanghar. PMD also forecasted rain and thunderstorms in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, and other areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, Murree, Islamabad, Attock, and Chakwal are also likely to receive moderate rain on April 10th, 12th, and 15th. Rainfall is also expected in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kohlu, Sibbi, Jhal Magsi, Loralai, Ziarat, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kalat, Lasbella, Khuzdar, Chagi, Panjgur, Gawadar and Kech from 12th to 14th April.
