PTI designates Raoof Hasan as CEC for upcoming intra-party polls

Notable attendees included PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Omar Ayub, and Raoof Hassan, alongside members and officials from Quetta, Peshawar, and Islamabad, among others. PTI Spokesperson Raoof Hasan communicated on social media, stating that the formal proceedings of the PTI's general body had commenced nationwide, both in physical and virtual realms. The primary objective was to elect a new federal election commissioner and five members of the commission, thereby laying the groundwork for the upcoming intra-party elections. Additional resolutions are expected to be adopted during the general body meeting. He characterised this act as a brazen and contemptuous display of state authoritarianism and fascism aimed at impeding the PTI from carrying out its activities in accordance with a Supreme Court order.
