https://ift.tt/lhj1nTa Two police officials were injured in an explosion that occurred in the garage of the Lahore residence of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar in Lahore, Express News reported. The incident took place in Lahore's Garden Town, and sources from the rescue team confirmed that Saqib Nisar was present at the time of the occurrence. Taking notice following the incident, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar has sought report from CCPO Lahore. He instructed the provision of the best medical facilities for the injured police personnel, identified as Amir and Khurram. According to Punjab Police spokesperson, the family of former CJP was unhurt, adding that the IGP has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. Senior police officers, including CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations Lahore, and SSP Operations, are present at the scene. Following the incident, security measures in the area have been heightened.
