Traffic police Karachi directed to crackdown on HID headlights

The directive came after Advocate Safeer Ali Chandio, from a legal firm, raised concerns in a letter regarding the hazards of HID headlights, urging the ban of their use due to their intense and potentially blinding glare. Chandio highlighted the threat these lights pose to road safety, creating discomfort and stress for both drivers and pedestrians and increasing the risk of accidents. Driving at night, especially in a city as bustling as Karachi, can prove to be a daunting experience for many. The general disregard for traffic laws, occasional hooliganism at the hands of underage drivers and the pothole-ridden road infrastructure of the city, can make most people think twice before bracing the steering wheel past wee hours.
