Shah was taken into custody by police in Lahore following the withdrawal of her detention order by the Punjab government. The ATC judge in Lahore had previously ordered her release, but Quetta Police officials apprised the ATC Lahore that an arrest warrant had been issued by the ATC Quetta in connection with a case filed under Section 169 at Bijli Road police station. Upon police submission, the ATC Lahore granted a three-day transit remand into police custody. Subsequently, Shah was brought to Quetta, where she was presented before the ATC judge.
