KARACHI: Female students ‘escaped’ an abduction attempt at the gate of Karachi University by unknown assailants, ARY News reported.
As per details, the incident occurred near the university gate when female students were forced to sit in the Rickshaw at gunpoint.
The female student who studies in the evening shift said that two unknown assailants attempted to abduct them in the Rickshaw but they escaped the kidnapping attempt.
Furthermore, the Mobeena Town police said that the incident looked like a street crime however the police investigation is underway.

Earlier today, An M. Phil student Mukhtiar Ali was found dead from Karachi University’s (KU) hostel at HEJ Colony on Monday, ARY News quoted an International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) spokesperson.
The ICCBS spokesperson said that an M. Phil student was found dead in a hostel’s washroom in Karachi University’s HEJ Colony. The spokesperson detailed that Mukhtiar Ali went to the washroom at 9:00 a.m. and later some students brought his lifeless body out at 6:00 p.m.
Ali was immediately shifted to the KU’s clinic. Ali was enrolled in the organic chemistry curriculum at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in 2020 and doing research under the supervision of Dr Hina Siddiqui.
